New Zealand has a hard game first up playing hosting country Austria. With the team leaving on the 16th of October and playing 3 warm up games in Germany they will be wanting to start strong against the hosts. With having Uruguay and Holland in the same group  NZ will need to be at the top of there game to make the semi finals.

Uruguay is now in the same pool group along with Australia, after late changes and Macua and India have been moved to pool B. So what are the chances 1st NZ must beat Austria on opening night to stay in for a chance, NZ last played Austria in 2004 and was beaten 6-5 in the dying minutes, so they do have a chance although Austria are rated a lot higher in the world rankings.
